Missional Readiness Assessment

Missional Readiness Assessments (MRA) are designed for churches and other ministries at any stage of ministry maturity. During a phased MRA process the following questions are answered:

  • Where are we on the missional continuum? (our self-assessment)
  • What do we need to do to become more missional? (our plan)
  • How do we advance on our missional trajectory? (our implementation of the plan)

The Missional Readiness Assessments incorporate the following guiding principles:

  • God desires that our church or ministry discover and act upon our unique passions, contributions and experiences to become inwardly strong and outwardly focused –impacting the communities we serve through integrated proclamation and demonstration of the gospel.
  • Missional readiness is determined through prayerfully guided “facilitated self-assessments”that assure alignment with God’s will and buy-in.
  • All findings of missional readiness ‘gaps’are actionable.
  • The process concludes leaving leadership and laborers passionate and empowered to take practical next steps governed by specific action plans.
  • Follow-up accountabilities and feedback loops are established to make mid-course adjustments as necessary.
  • Lessons-learned are captured for similar initiatives at partnering churches and ministries.
