Missional Readiness Assessments (MRA) are designed for churches and other ministries at any stage of ministry maturity. During a phased MRA process the following questions are answered:
- Where are we on the missional continuum? (our self-assessment)
- What do we need to do to become more missional? (our plan)
- How do we advance on our missional trajectory? (our implementation of the plan)
The Missional Readiness Assessments incorporate the following guiding principles:
- God desires that our church or ministry discover and act upon our unique passions, contributions and experiences to become inwardly strong and outwardly focused – impacting the communities we serve through integrated proclamation and demonstration of the gospel.
- Missional readiness is determined through prayerfully guided “facilitated self-assessments” that assure alignment with God’s will and buy-in.
- All findings of missional readiness ‘gaps’ are actionable.
- The process concludes leaving leadership and laborers passionate and empowered to take practical next steps governed by specific action plans.
- Follow-up accountabilities and feedback loops are established to make mid-course adjustments as necessary.
- Lessons-learned are captured for similar initiatives at partnering churches and ministries.
