The centerpiece of the PSALMSM (Personal Spiritual Assessment &Leadership Methodology) is a 360° feedback instrument. The PSALMSM is based upon a spiritual leadership ‘model’ (SLM) of Dimensions and Attributes representing an ‘ideal’leader. That picture of an ‘ideal’leader is derived from a comprehensive study of Scripture,non-biblical sources and Apollos’experience,but all included Dimensions and Attributes have been validated in Scripture.
Leadership metrics are calculated from the SLM and provide the measuring yardsticks to represent the leader’s strengths and weaknesses –or areas for further development with the highest potential for helping the leader grow. A key feature of the PSALMSM is the use of 360° feedback technologies that allow the leader,his mentor,managers or supervisors,professors,peers,subordinates or others interfacing with the leader each rate him and his progress as a developing leader. Comparisons of the feedback from the 360° evaluators provide coverage from relevant vantage points. Research demonstrates that consistent feedback obtained from ‘participant-observers’using properly structured instruments provides reliable indication.
